Funeral services for Joye Sherline Martin, 87, of Jenks, Oklahoma, were held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook, with Reverend Susan Whitley officiating.

Interment in Hillside Cemetery in Skiatook was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service were Josh Hahn, Floyd Stites, Grant Stites, Keith Stites and Will Haney. Musical selections were “The Dance” and “Bridge over Trouble Water”.

Joye passed away on August 13, 2016 at her daughter's home in Skiatook. She was born on April 23, 1929 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Sherwood and Minnie Esther (Langley) Renfrow. Joye attended school in Avant, Oklahoma. She moved to Tulsa in 1946, living with family friends. Joye married Frank McIntire on May 16, 1949; he preceded her in death in February of 1968. She later married Gene Martin on December 18, 1968; he preceded her in death on January 18, 2015. They had been married 46 years. Joye lead a very venturous life and wasn't afraid of change. She knew and met very interesting people throughout her lifetime and always enjoyed meeting new people.

Joye is survived by two daughters: Kim McIntire of Skiatook; Christine Stites of Berryhill; six grandchildren: Josh Hahn, Jessica Burrows, Mindy Haney, Grant Stites, Keith Stites and Julie Spence, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Frank McIntire and Gene Martin and four siblings.
