Hazel Oleta Nail of Hulah died Friday at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.

Services were 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Foraker with the Rev. James Edmison officiating. Burial will be at the Foraker Cemetery under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home of Pawhuska.

Mrs. Nail was born July 8, 1912 in Biggs, Mo., to Oliver Vanderbilt and Nora Catherine (Morris) Coble. She was a graduate of the Foraker High School and lived in Foraker until 1979 when she moved to Hulah. While in Foraker she volunteered as a reporter at the Oklahoma Weather Service.

She married Roy Everett Nail on June 9, 1931 in Pawnee and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1966.

Mrs. Nail was the oldest living member of the First United Methodist Church of Foraker. She was recognized as Home Maker of the Year of the Osage County Home Demonstration Clubs in 1981 and was recognized for more than 50 years of active 4-H Club work in Osage County. For several years, she served as superintendent of the Canning Division of the Osage County Fair. Before moving to Hulah, she was a cook at the Codding Research Center.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Eileen of Louisville, Miss., and Donald and Anita of Kingfisher; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Bill Strom of Hulah and Frances and Hugh Griffith of Dothan, Ala.; a sister, Geneieve Emery, of Mountain Grove, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and two grandchildren.
