Carolyn Sue Long, longtime resident of Shidler, OK passed away Monday morning in Lindsay, OK. She was 80 years of age. Carolyn was born August 7, 1938 in Shidler, OK to Olin “Dick” Farrar and Ruby Bray Farrar.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 in the Shidler First Christian Church with Pastor Ron Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family in attendance on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to receive friends and relatives. Casket bearers will be Vern Roe, Kenneth Kilpatrick, Chris Taylor, Steven long, Nick Ross, Todd Roe and David Bringham.

Carolyn grew up in Shidler and was a part of the class of 1956. She met the love of her life Joe Long and they were married August 26, 1956 and they made Shidler their home. Carolyn enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, fishing and camping. She was also a longtime member of First Christian Church of Shidler.

Survivors include: 3 daughters: Cindy and Vern Roe of Lindsay, OK Susan and Kenneth Kilpatrick and Kim and Chris Taylor all of Ponca City, OK. Also surviving are her grandchildren; David Bracken of Shidler, Kimber Inman of Lindsay, Cody Bracken of Lindsay, Kourtney Poe of Ada, Katelyn Roe of Lindsay, Steven Long of Kaw City, Ian Kilpatrick of Commerce City, CO, Chelsea Bringham of Blackwell, Dustin Kingsbury of Ponca City, Kaylie Ross of Tonkawa and Brooke McNeely of Yukon, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Joe of 47 years and 2 sisters; Peggy Pangborn and Geraldine Flett.
