Patsy Leona Wilson LaRue, 72, of Ponca City, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her home. Patsy was born on January 1, 1942 in Ralston, OK to Riley and Cora Goad Wilson. She grew up in Osage County and graduated from Ralston High School. She married Larry LaRue on November 10, 1959 in Fairfax, OK. She had many titles along her journey in life she was an avid basketball player at Ralston High School, a housewife, mother, grandmother and worked for CONOCO Cafeteria for 10 years where she retired. After retirement, she engaged in farming with her husband Larry. They raised rabbits, hogs, cattle, sheep and chickens. Her favorite pastimes were working in her garden and flower beds, sewing and quilting. She dearly loved her grandchildren. In the cool of the evening after all of her daily activities were finished, she could be found quietly sitting reading the word of God from her bible.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.

Patsy is survived by her husband, of 55 years, Larry, Sons Brad and his wife Betty, Brent and his wife Tracy and daughter Tammy LaRue all of Ponca City. 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Grace Memorial Chapel with Joe Muniz officiating. Casket bearers will be her grandsons Joe LaRue, Jessop LaRue, Ty LaRue, Travis LaRue, Kory LaRue and Caleb Lowry. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery of Fairfax, OK.
