Dicie L. Jones, resident of Ponca City, passed Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 72 years of age.

Dicie was born March 21, 1939 in Blue Mountain, Arkansas, the daughter of Jessie Isaac Goldman and Anna Marie Capps Goldman. She was married to John Silas in 1957. She later married Larry Fisher in 1967. She was married to James Franklin Jones Jr. on March 31, 1991 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She had been employed through the years as at Albertsons and also a Nursing Home Med Aid at the Fairfax Nursing Home and the Ponca City Nursing Home. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and her enjoyments included her children, grandchildren, watching wrestling on television, NASCAR racing, doing pretty punch and in earlier years hunting and fishing.

She is survived by five children, Betty Conwell, Arthur Ray, Virginia Smith, John Paul Gagnebin and Rose Marie Strong one brother, Robert Goldman her grandchildren, Christina, Rebecca, Terry Gene, Blake, Gary, Jordan, Scarlet, Felicia, Brandon and Brianna numerous great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents her first husband her husband, Junior Jones one sister, Zelda Mae Yarber one brother Tommy Terry one nephew, Thomas Terry Jr. and a great grandson, Dakota Dale Merchant.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Hudspeth presiding. Interment will be in the Fairfax Cemetery.
