Charlie Morris was the second son of Samuel Albert Hazen and Emily Lanning, d/o James Lanning and Arvilla Mathews.
Born in Indiana, as a young boy Charlie went with his parents to Nebraska and lived for several years in Pender.
In September 1893 in a covered wagon the Hazens came to Oklahoma. They first lived in Ponca City then settled in Fairfax where Charlie's father was a carpenter.
Charlie married a girl called "Creame" Corrine Law 18 OCT 1905 Anadarko, Caddo, Oklahoma.
Children:
1. Audry Ellen Hazen born 11 NOV 1906 Fairfax, Osage, Oklahoma and died 28 FEB 1980 in Grove, Delaware, OK per the U.S. Social Security Index, LDS Church archives.
2. Virgil Cecil Hazen born 25 APR 1911 Fairfax, Osage, Oklahoma and died 21 APR 1935.
3. Emily May Hazen born 23 MAY 1920 Fairfax, Osage, Oklahoma died 03 JAN 1923.
4. Morris Walter Hazen was born 11 Feb 1909 in Fairfax, Osage, OK and died 18 Oct 1990 in Fairfax, Osage, OK. On 06 APR 1929 in Fairfax, Osage, Oklahoma he married Thelma Irene Langley born 28 June 1911, d/o James William Langley. U.S. Social Security Index.
5. Jack Hazen was born 4 Mar 1924 in Fairfax, Osage, OK and died 19 June 1995 in Fairfax, Osage, OK per the U.S. Social Security Index, LDS Church archives.
Note:
According to the living nieces of Charlie Morris Hazen - Frances Hazen Townley, Ruth Hazen White and Helen Hazen Bishop of Ponca City - Charlie was buried in the Fairfax Cemetery. Ruth and Helen live at 1110 N. Ash, Ponca City, OK 74601.
