Glynda Louise Hutchison Fosnight

Glynda Fosnight, long-time Fairfax, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life into God's hands on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Fairfax Hospital after a brief stay in the Fairfax Manor Nursing Home. She was 78.

Glynda Louise was born on April 22, 1943, to Glynn Dewitt and Linney 'Juanita" (Hise) Hutchison in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1961.

In the spring of 1963, she met Donald Rex Fosnight and later that year they were married on December 14 in Wynona. They would share 38 wonderful years together before he passed in November 2002.

The couple made their first home in Fairfax and were blessed with four children whom they raised in the Fairfax School system. In 1971 the family moved near Ralston to live at Gray's Dairy before moving back to Fairfax in June 1980.

Glynda enjoyed life, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was gracious, gentle, and kind- frequently thinking of others and their needs first. Her excellent homemaking skills were often used daily. Her many interests included crocheting, reading, gardening (particularly growing beautiful fresh flowers and vegetables for her table), canning, and sewing.

Glynda also loved her church family. She was a person of faith and lived life serving her Lord and Savior. Having belonged to the Nazarene Church in Fairfax since 1963, she had held several positions in the church through the years. Her Christian life was a model for her family and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Survivors include her children Donald Fosnight of Yukon, Billy (Paula) Fosnight of Fairfax, Vickie Vicente of Richardson, Texas, and James Fosnight of Fairfax. Grandchildren TiShana Fosnight Blackwell, Gregory (Jessica) Fosnight Yukon, Johnathon (Lindsey) Fosnight Ponca, Timothy Fosnight Ralston, Victoria Boyd Tulsa, Stacia Boyd Tulsa, Maranda Fosnight Tulsa, William (Maggie) Fosnight Ponca, Kristin Fosnight Ponca, Rhonda (James) Pitts Wiesbaden Germany, Ashley Fosnight OKC, Ryan (Carolina) Vicente Dallas, Michael (Karen) Vicente Dallas, and Louis (Miranda) Vicente Las Cruces, New Mexico. Thirty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, brother Sammy (Shirley) Hutchison Prattville, sister Cherryl (Earl) Key Prattville, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Glynda is now reunited with her husband Don, parents Glynn and Juanita, a granddaughter Louise Renee Fosnight, and three grandsons Nicolas Fosnight, Henry Vicente, Maximus Vicente.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hunsaker Wooten Chapel Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16 also at the funeral home Chapel with Reverend Roy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairfax City Cemetery where she will lie next to her husband Don and Grandmother Ola Hise.

Pallbearers are her grandsons: Gregory Fosnight, Johnathon Fosnight, Timothy Fosnight, William Fosnight, Ryan Vicente, and Michael Vicente.
