Linda Lou (States) Moore

Linda Lou (States) Moore was born May 17, 1944 to Ben and Dessie States in Enid, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully on November 29, 2012 at her home in Burbank, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Ponca City High School with the class of 1963. Linda married Danny Earl Moore on August 25, 1963 in Ponca City at the Nazarine Church. During their forty-nine years of marriage, they had two children, daughter, Dana Renee Holt and son, Danny Earl Moore II. Linda worked outside the home as secretary for Bower's Lumber Company of Fairfax, manager of The King's Closet in Ponca City, and for the last twenty-nine years, she cooked for the school children of Burbank and Kaw City. She loved being a part of every child's life and filling their bellies. Linda held a lot of pride for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, Danny Moore; sister, Eva June Bowers of Midwest City, Oklahoma; daughter, Dana Holt and son-in-law, Jesse ,of Sealy, Texas; son, Danny Moore II, and daughter-in-law, Karen of Burbank, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jessica Strickland, Van Ford, Jacoty Holt, Katie Davis, Hannah Cable, Joshua Mayfield, Halie Moore, Lauren Holt, Lindsey Looney, Jennessie Holt, Dessie Holt, Danny Trey Moore III; and great grandchildren, Kaycee Hughs, Kate Ford, Addyson Davis, Kolby Harrington and Kirsten Harrington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Gledena Fleming; brother, Roy States; grandson, Dalton Jack Holt; and great grandson, Cayden Jack Hughs. Linda will be missed by everyone she has touched in her life.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Shidler School Auditorium. Officiating are Rev. Dennis Wildman, Ranond Bowers and Jim Christy. Casket bearers are Joshua Mayfield, Jimmy Hawkins, Mark J. Freeman IV, Terry Moore, Ranond Bowers, and Roy Don Bowers. Honorary casket bearers are Van Ford, George Wayman, Gary Moore, Jessie Holt, Jim Martin, and Mark Freeman III. Interment will follow at Burbank Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
