Katherine Marie Mains, 58, of Shidler, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2011 at her parents home in Webb City. Kathy was born on Dec. 19, 1952 in Ponca City to Jeff and Willa Carlene Clapp Harbeson. Graduate of Emporia High School, Emporia, KS in 1972. She was a member of Shidler Methodist Church. Kathy will be missed dearly by all that knew her. She was an amazing woman whose strength, courage and love for all those around her made her the outstanding person everybody grew to love. Her struggles should be an example to many, although she had many obstacles along her journey, she never gave up hope, never stopped fighting, kept faith in her Heavenly Father and worked harder than some grown men even at her weakest. Monday when she went to the Heavens, she was holding the hands of her hero and best friend, her parents and daughter.

Kathy is survived by her Husband, Lloyd whom she married on March 26, 1982 in Webb City. Children Clint and Cary McClure of Burbank, Candace and Cory Meadows of Webb City, Frank Mains of Shidler and Step Daughter Melissa Parks of Wynona. Parents Jeff and Willa Harbeson of Webb City. Brother Jerry and Sharon Harbeson of Burbank, Sister Jeffrie and Steve Griffith of Ponca City. 8 grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren, 1 step great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, 1 granddaughterShelby McClure, CousinMichael Clapp, 2 aunts Marty and Freda Christopher.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, 2:00 pm, Sept. 15, 2011 in the Shidler Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Wildman, Rev. Gary Moody and Rev. Jay Clapp officiating. Casket Bearers will be Frank Mains, Clint McClure, Dale Head, Chip Charlton, Steve Lewis and Phil Hensley. Burial will be in the Burbank Cemetery, Burbank, OK.
