Dorothy L. Morton passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Spirit Church with Pastor Darryl Wootton officiating. Interment will be at A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Dorothy Lee Morton was born June 27, 1927 in Port Neches, TX to Alphie and Bertha (DeBlance) Sonnier. Dorothy dedicated over 54 years of service to the field of Nursing. She enjoyed cooking, baking and caring for people.

Dorothy is survived by two sons; Mike Morton and wife Sharon of Bartlesville and David Morton of Grand Rapids, MI. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Dusty, Lacey, Lorin, Matthew, Allison and five great grandchildren: Nicholas, Parker, Gavin, Katelyn and Autumn. She is also survived by her brother, Father Charles Sonnier of Sweethome, TX and sister, Mary and husband Ray Loew of Rosenberg, TX along with a host of friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Morton, her parents and brother, Russel Sonnier.
