Patricia Rosetta (Pat) Garrison Hurd

December 3, 1931 ~ March 22, 2026

Patricia Rosetta (Pat) Hurd, 94, of Wynona, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday morning March 22, 2026, at her home, northwest of Wynona. Pat was born December 3, 1931, at Pawhuska to Marlin and Bertha (Parker) Garrison. She was raised in Haskell, OK until she moved to the Wynona area when she was fifteen years old. On January 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Bill Gene Hurd in Arkansas. To this union, three children were born - Bill Jr., Vicky and Sandra. They made their home in the Wynona area, while Bill ranched. Pat worked for a time as a sewing machine operator at Munsingwear in Hominy. They were faithful members of the Wynona Assembly of God Church. On the ranch, Pat also worked in the hay fields baling hay and driving the tractor. She also loved her German shepherd and enjoyed walking. Pat walked an 8-mile route around the dirt roads for many years. But Pat's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She played laser tag with them, took them fishing and taught them how to be "country kids".

Those who survive and hold many cherished memories include her children - Bill G. Hurd, Jr., Vicky J. Hurd, both of Wynona and Sandra K. (Hurd) Houseman of Austin, TX. Also surviving are five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill in September of 2025 and her siblings.

Funeral services for Pat will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the chapel of the Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, with David Downing officiating. Burial will follow in the A J Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Arrangements and services are under the care of Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, OK. www.powellfuneralservice.com
