Pauline Beatrice Carter, 87 of Hominy, passed away May 30, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 9, 1925 at Wildhorse, Oklahoma to Ed and Jenny (Hallimen) Montgomery.
For many years she worked at local restaurants flipping hamburgers and waiting on tables, after retirement she was able to stay home and take care of her family.
Pauline married Theodore Wikel in 1940, and he passed away December 25, 1976. She later married Archie T. Carter on August 10, 1981 and he passed away August 17, 2012.
Pauline is survived by her son David Wikel of Hominy, 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, a sister Wanda Butcher of Barnsdall. Step children Wilda Swain, Linda Venable, Melva Bostik, Johnie Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Theodore Wikel and Archie Carter, son Ted Wikel and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Assembly of God church in Wynona, Oklahoma with Pastor David Downing officiating. Musical selections were "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art" and "My God is Real".
Casket bearers were David Wikel, Jeremy Wikel, Albert Butcher Jr, Larry Butcher, Darrel Butcher and Corky Butcher.
Burial was at A.J. Powell Cemetery with Powell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. www.powellfuneralservice.com
