Sharon Kay Potter was born February 18, 1968 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Shirley MacFarland. She passed away January 8, 2026 in Oklahoma City at the age of 57.

After living for some years in Oklahoma City, she moved to Chandler, Oklahoma where she graduated from High School in 1986. She married the love of her life, Shane Potter, in 1993, with whom she enjoyed many years of marriage before his passing in 2005.

Sharon loved being a mother to her son, Dallas, and her daughter-in-law, Cheyenne, who joined the family in 2018. Sharon loved to read, she enjoyed the outdoors, but most of all, she treasured her grandkids. Sharon was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2011, but received a gift from God in the form of a double lung transplant in 2012, allowing her to enjoy another 13 years with the people she loved.

Sharon is survived by son, Dallas Shane Potter, daughter-in-law Cheyenne Potter, and grandchildren: Evelyn, Shane, and Finley—who carries “Kay” as her namesake. She will be remembered as a woman who loved well, enjoyed life, and found joy in the others God placed around her.

A funeral will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 23, 2026 at Friends Church in Chandler. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at the Salt Creek Cemetery in Henryetta. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
