Funeral Services for James Shaw will be held Saturday, February 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Springfield Methodist Church in Okemah ,OK. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta. A wake service will also be held Friday, Feb 26, from 7:00 to 8:00pm at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

James Wesley Shaw was born November 29, 1941 in Stigler, Ok to William and Flossie Shaw. He passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Henryetta at the age of 74.

James Shaw entered into the Armed Forces of the United States at the age of 18. After leaving the Armed Forces he worked as a missionary until retirement. In retirement James enjoyed spending his days watching westerns such as John Wayne. He also likes going fishing with family and friends. He never met a stranger by the end of the conversations they would be long lost friends. James just loved peaceable.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son Rocky Shaw and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include his wife Betty Shaw of the home. Four sons; Stephen Shaw of Tulsa, James Shaw Jr of Tulsa, David Shaw of Tulsa and Jason Shaw of Tulsa. One daughter; Debbie Shaw of South Beach, FL. Fifteen grandkids and three great grandkids.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Barnett, Stephen Shaw, John Wolfe, Nocuselle Gray, Andrew Ellis and Edward Ellis.

Honorary Pallbearers: Shawn-D Barnett, Randy Smith, Ryan Shaw, Kovoor Peires and Josh Dotter.
