Mary Shane a Henryetta resident passed away on June 9, 2005 in Okemah, Ok at the age of 85. Mary was born July 22, 1919 in Henryetta, Ok to Jefferson Davis and Bessie Lee (Bradley) Layman. Mary worked as a Beautician before retiring and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she kept care of the Nursery for some 40 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Lyman "Clark" Shane on May 2, 1984, her parents and 2 brothers; Wilber and Ed Layman.
Survived by Daughter: Libby Jestice and Husband Charlie of Henryetta, Grandson: David Jestice of Henryetta, Nephew: Billy Layman of Henryetta,Niece: Frances Francis of Pharoah, OK, Dorothy Layman of Henryetta, Special family Friends: Bob & JoAnn Flake, Syble Ditzler and Francis Black.
Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Paslay, officiating. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
