Deedie May Johnson a resident of Henryetta passed away on January 26, 2016 in Tulsa,Ok at the age of 83. Born September 19, 1932 in Rochester, Minnesota to Maurice “Claude” and Ida Mae (Manning) Vaughn.

Deedie’s life revolved around her family and church. She married Donald Johnson of April 8, 1950, raised a wonderful family and served in the Immanuel Baptist Church along with her husband in many ways. She taught Sunday School for the children, served in the WMU-GA, the Quilting Club and church cook. She was a lady of many talents from being an artist to a seamstress.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald a daughter Donna Johnson-Lamar, sister; Alice Claudette Cottrell and Brother and sister in law; Richard and Tressie Vaughn.

Survived by her children: Deborah and David Morrow of Sand Springs, Denise and David Eldridge of Bixby, Dianne and Todd Groff of Henryetta and Darin and Amie Johnson of Henryetta.
11 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren
Sister: Sharon Rose Sivilis of Oklahoma City
Uncle: Harold Vaughn of Oklahoma City
Many nieces and nephews and special friends.

Family will be greeting friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00pm

Service is set for 2:00 pm, Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Immanuel Baptist Church with David Morrow and Brayden Buss officiating. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
