Floyd C. Townsend a resident of Schulter,OK passed away on November 8, 2006 in Tulsa, Ok at the age of 83. Born April 16, 1923 in Dallas, TX to Elijah and Sally (Johnson) Townsend. Floyd worked as a farmer most of his life and was a member of the Dewar Freewill Holiness Church and the American Legion. Floyd served his country in the US Army during WWII.

He married Lynn Alvis on April 16, 1995 in Henryetta, Ok. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Pete.

Survived By Wife: Lynn Townsend of the home,Son: Ernest K Taylor of Okmulgee,Daughter: Christina Quinton of Henryetta,2 Grandchildren Mother in Law; Sammie Ainsworph of Okmulgee,Sister in law: Jean Massey of Okemah,OK,Niece & Nephew: Clara and Robert Townsend of Abilene, TX.

Services will be 2:00pm, Monday, November 13, 2006 at the Dewar Freewill Holiness Church with Rev. Duke Britt, officiating. Interment will follow at the New Senora Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
