Ira Richard Ponnequinn a resident of the Coalton Community passed away on August 19, 2006 in Coalton at the age of 65. Born December 29, 1940 to Harley and Resser (Huffman) Ponnequinn. Ira served in the United States Navy and worked as a mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Oren Kanada.
Survived by 2 Sons: Ira Ponnequinn of Rhode Island,John Ponnequinn of Rhode Island,Grandchildren: Felicia, Brittany, Jesse, Matthew, Jonathon and Cassandra Ponnequinn,2 Brothers: Harley D Ponnequinn of Henryetta,John Ponnequinn of Paris, TX,3 Sisters: Loraine Salmon of Okmulgee,Louis Ruth Tarner of Calif Ruby Brakey of Henryetta,Special friend: Gayle Phipps,Several nieces and nephews.
Military Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
