Roy Kenneth Pippin a resident of the Salem Community passed away on January 23, 2008 in Henryetta, OK at the age
of 85. He was born on December 8, 1923 in Henryetta to Richard Cephas and Hazel Lena (Powers) Pippin.
Roy served in the US Army during WW II with Company A 36th Engineer Combat Battalion. He served in Rome-Arno,
Rhineland, Southern France and Central Europe. He was awarded the EAAME Theater Ribbon with four bronze service
stars and one bronze arrowhead and the good conduct medal. Roy retired from PPG, he later worked for the McIntosh
County and as a farmer and rancher in the Salem Community. He married Euletha Kaler on October 10, 1942 in Henryetta.
He was a faithful member of the Salem Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Church Treasure and Custodian.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Roylene Pippin, Grandson Chris Pangle, Brothers: Richard
Austin Pippin, Phil Robert Pippin and Herbert Pippin.
Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Wolf officiating.
Interment will follow at the Senora Cemetery with full military honors provided by the US Army. Services under the direction of the
Rogers Funeral Home.
