Frank Carl Koblishek Jr.
Dec. 25, 1912 - Jan. 31, 2007
Services:
Frank Carl Koblishek Jr, a painter-decorator, artist and cowboy passed away on January 31, 2007 in Henryetta, Ok at the age of 94. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 25, 1912 to Austrian immigrant parents Anna Klecker Koblischek and Frank C. Koblischek. Sr.
Frank moved to Tulsa with his parents and Sister Marie when he was about 9 years old. After graduation from Tulsa Central high School, Frank joined his fathers painting and decorating business working in some of Tulsa’s finest old homes. He was one of the founding members of the Tulsa Roundup Club. In his later years he took western art and was an accomplished painter. There was nowhere he would rather have been than on the back of a horse. He said many times he wished he had been born a hundred years earlier because a cowboy’s life was what he would like to have lived.
In 1943 Frank married Rose Edith Cottrell and she passed away in 1981. Frank leaves behind one daughter Betty Bussey and husband Jim of Henryetta, Granddaughter Donna Leigh Rose and husband Tony of Cleveland, OK, great grandson Anthony Tyler Rose of Cleveland. Also one nephew Warren Cox of Tulsa.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Services are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
