Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 am at the Cantrell Ivory Chapel for Jessie Otto Holmes,
The Rev. Robert Tull will officiate.
Born 25 Feb 1889 in Alton, Oregon County, Missouri.
Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Cantrell Funeral Home.
Mr. Holmes died Monday in a Tulsa hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1889 in Alton, Oregon County,
Missouri. A retired oil field worker, Jessie was a farmer up until 1918 and then went into
the oil field work., he moved to Okmulgee in 1918 from Shawnee and was member of the First
United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Esther) Penn, Tulsa, and Mrs. Malcom (Thelma) Twisdale, three
sons, Jesse N. Holmes, Okmulgee, William E. Holmes, Manhattan,Kan., and Carl Q. Holmes, Pasadena, Tex.,
one half brother and a half sister, 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great-
great-great-grandchildren
