David Eugene Cloud (Chief) was born February 14, 1970 to Daniel “Bill” and Lucy Cloud in Claremore, Oklahoma. He departed this life September 23, 2021 at the age of 51 years, 7 months and 9 days.

David, a lifelong Bristow area resident and proud Olive Wildcat was a 1989 graduate of Olive High School. David went to work at an early age as an arborist. Working for nearly every tree service; David worked his way up to a supervisory position giving 30 plus years to the industry. Though David never had children he treated his nieces and nephews as his own making every sporting event, birthday party or special occasion. His love for family filled his heart and soul. He was fluent in the Creek language. David had a vast knowledge of the Muscogee traditions and way of life, and he was eager to pass this knowledge along. OU football, WWE wrestling were two things David always made time for and he loved old country music especially George Jones. He was a lifelong member of the Nuyaka Ceremonial Grounds. David attended True Vine Indian Baptist Church as well, he served as a deacon at New Beginning Baptist Church in Henryetta while he attended there.

David is survived by his companion, Katie Hicks; mom, Lucy Cloud; three brothers, Galen Cloud of Tiger Mountain, Billy Cloud and Marlon Roberts of Bristow and one sister, Jennie Cloud of Bristow. He was preceded in death by his dad, Daniel “Bill” Cloud Jr.; one brother Daniel Shelton and both Maternal and paternal grandparents.

Wake services will be held 7:00pm, September 26, 2021, at the Cloud family home. Funeral services will follow 1:00pm, September 27, 2021 with Reverend Paul Fixico and Major McHenry officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson Cloud McNac Family Cemetery.
