Blanche L. Palmer

PALMER Blanche L., 80, of Lake St. Louis, MO died at home on Sat. July 8, 2000 after suffering a long illness due to the effects of a stroke in May of last year. Bethany, OK was her home for 30 years until last fall when she went to live with her daughter, Tommye Kaye and son-in-law, Vince Manzer. Mrs. Palmer was born an only child of Fred and Ethel Urbano on Sept. 27, 1919 in Oklahoma City. Her beloved husband and soul mate, Thomas W. Palmer, preceded her in death in 1968. Mrs. Palmer was ahome- maker most of her life, as her love for her family was her greatest passion. After the death of her husband, she worked as a medical receptionist for 19 years until her retirement. She was a long-standing member of the Peniel Baptist Church in Bethany and was very active in the Bethany Senior Citizen Center before her illness. Mrs. Palmer was the mother of 5 children and is survived by three daughters, Yvonne Danna of Wheatland, OK, Bethene Palmer of Mena, AR and Tommye Kaye Manzer of LakeSt.Louis, MO; one son, Dan Palmer & wife Donna, Tulsa, OK. One daughter, Linda Janelle Hart, of Oklahoma also pre- ceded her in death. She had 16 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was loved by many and will be greatlymissed by those whose lives she touched. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK, 73112. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., in Mercer - Adams Funeral Home in Bethany on Tues., July 11, 2000.Funeral Services will be in the chapel at Mercer - Adams on Wednesday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
