Gerald Eugene Curry

July 4, 1927 - August 25, 1995

Gerald Eugene Curry. In loving memory of our beloved husband and father who passed on to be with his Lord on Friday, August 25, 1995. Born July 4, 1927 in Lincoln, Nebraska, growing up in Bethany, Ok. He served his country with great pride, retiring from the USAF in 1965 with 20 years of service. His civil service to his country continued for 20 more years, retiring from Tinker AFB in 1987 where he was known by his co-workers as "Sarge." Attending the Del City Church of Christ for almost 30 years, he served his Lord and the people of this area, always giving of himself to the very end. Best remembered for his kind, gentle, compassionate and friendly manner. A courageous but humble man who by his very nature always left you with a sense of feeling good by having been around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by many many friends and loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Curry of Midwest City; his son, Stephen E. Curry of Yukon; and his daughter, Linda S. Bacon of Oklahoma City; and brother, Jack E. Curry of California. Also surviving our dad are his three grandchildren; Jill, Joy and Darren Curry of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law, Faye Curry, and son-in-law, David Bacon. Services will be provided by Bill Eisenhour SE Funeral Home with remembrances of our father scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Del City Church of Christ, 1901 Vickie Drive in Del City.
