Kimberly Dee Cox

March 31, 1969 - January 13, 2021

Kimberly (Kim) Messer Cox passed away on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021. She was born on March 31st, 1969 in Oklahoma City, OK to Jimmy Jerry and Judith Ann Messer. Kim grew up in Del City, Oklahoma where she regularly attended church and graduated from Love of God Academy. She had a strong work ethic. During high school, she worked as an Electrical Apprentice for her father’s company, Jim Messer Electric. After high school, she was a Cosmetologist and studied Early Childhood Education at Rose State College. She held positions in retail management throughout her life. Her occupation at the time of passing was as a Paralegal after receiving her Paralegal Certification from Oklahoma City Community College.
Kim was a beautiful person inside and out with many artistic abilities and talents including freehand drawing, painting, arts and crafts, playing the piano, and singing. She was frequently asked to sing at the weddings and funerals of family and friends. She regularly played the piano for services at Next Level Ministries.
She had four children and eight grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was an outstanding mother who devoted most of her life to caring for them.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Jerry Messer, and her husband, John Glenn Cox.
She is survived by her mother, Judith Ann Messer, her siblings, Jimmy (Donna) Messer, Angela Decocq, Steve (Kelly) Messer, her children, Tabitha (Andrew) McChesney, Trevor Crump, Lydia Crump, Eva Hernandez, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
