Melvin G. Bond

Services for Melvin G. Bond, 86, Oklahoma City, who died Friday in Enid, will be at 2 PM Monday in the South Lindsay Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, directed by Vondel L. Smith and Sons Mortuary, Oklahoma City.
Bond was born December 20, 1899, in Cole County, Missouri, and was a resident of Oklahoma City most of his life. He worked as a lumberman for W. T. "Bill" Atkinson Lumber Company and Billington Lumber Company.
Bond was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the South Lindsay Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Eileen Kreplin Norman of Enid; two sons, Melvin Grant Bond Jr., Harrah and Parker Lee bond, Siloam Springs, Arkansas; a brother, Paul Bond of Russellville, Missouri; six grandchildren; six great - grandchildren, and a great - great - grandchild. His wife Jesse died in June 1980.
