Valda E. Rodgers

December 26, 1924 - June 19, 2020

Valda Elaine Rodgers, age 95 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on June 19, 2020 in Oklahoma City. Valda was born on December 26, 1924 in Lockridge, Oklahoma to Macy V. and Alma (Christner) Perry.
Valda moved from Guthrie to Oklahoma City in 1956 and had lived there for the last 65 years. She attended Crown Heights Nazarene Church and loved to read in her spare time.
Survivors include her son Virgil Rodgers and his wife Lesley of Cashion, brother Delbert Perry and his wife Mary of Winfield, Kansas, and numerous grandchildren. Valda was preceded in death by her parents Macy and Alma Perry, son Roy Rodgers, son Allen Rodgers, brother Eunice Lacey, brother Floyd Perry, sister Leola Harris, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Christner Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
