James Anthony Sardis, Sr.

SARDIS James Anthony Sr., passed away Sunday, August 2, 1998 at Midwest City Regional Hospital. He was born on January 17, 1920, in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Imogene; daughter Glenda of Edmond; son and daughter-in-law, James Anthony Jr. and Kim of Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Lisa of MWC; 7 granddaughters, Lisa Holden, Kara, Gina, and Kya Sardis, and Jamie, Megan and Emily Sardis; 2 grandsons, Tony Holden and Nicholas Sardis. He is also survived by sister Angelina Adams of Wilburton; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Corrine Sardis of Branson, MO; and sister Gloria Overlease of Wilburton; and many nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Fannie Sardis, and a1humor and selflessness, always placing the well-being and interests of others above his own. Through all the sporting events, cheer practices, plays, and other school functions, Papa was there for his children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday , August 4, 1998 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast in Del City.
