Janet Gayle Matlock was born June 24, 1952 to Raymond Theodore and Grace Hellen Montgomery in Welty, Oklahoma. She departed this life September 7, 2024 at the age of 72.

She attended Depew Public Schools. On September 15, 1968 Janet Montgomery and Eddy Matlock were united in marriage. From this union four children were born, Gayla, Scotty, Jeffery, and Kristi.

Janet enjoyed flower gardening, her dog "Sissy", baking, sewing, playing bingo, but most importantly spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Eddy Matlock; four children, Gayla Deanne Willyard and husband Billy, Scotty Edward Matlock, Jeffery Wayne Matlock and wife Sheila, Kristi Lyn Cooper and husband Jason; five siblings, Teddy Montgomery and wife Judy, Dana "Pooch" Montgomery and wife Sharon, Joey "Cub" Montgomery and wife Janie, John Montgomery and wife Janice, and Rusty Montgomery and wife Terri; eight grandchildren, Burgandi, Braydyn, Brody, Skye, Kaylee, Cody, Makenzie, and Brent; five great grandchildren, Leighton, Brighton, Sutton, Masyn, and Tuff. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Bob and Gary Montgomery.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Depew First Baptist Church with interment to follow at the Welty Cemetery.
