Charles Roy Dyer, Jr. “Junior” was born on August 2, 1930, in Micawber, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 83.

Junior, the son of Charles Roy and Marie (Wilson) Dyer, was a resident of Paden. He married Jimmie Dyer on September 21, 1979, in Okemah. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service.

His parents and sister, Jean Smith, preceded Junior in death.

Survivors include: wife of 34 years, Jimmie Dyer of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Roy Dyer, III of Noble and Cameron R. and Kitina Dyer of Prague; daughter, Brenda Wilson of Colorado; step-children and their spouses, Earlene and Cameron Avey of Paden, Willis Simmons of Paden, Judy and Dewey Short of Sallisaw, Derinda and Don Reade of Seminole, Janet and Richard Keith of Seminole and Terry and Tommie Huff of Fort Smith, TX; brothers and sister-in-law, Jim Dyer of Castle and Bobby and Betty Dyer of Paden; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Paden Cemetery in Paden with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
