Mamie Arvie Davis was born on September 28, 1921, in Micawber, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 92.

Mamie, the daughter of William Reeves and Dusky (Friend) Reeves of Arkansas. After the death of her mother, she was adopted by Jesse Little of Paden. She attended school in Paden, but lived most of her life in Prague. She married Gilbert Davis on November 6, 1939, in Paden, Oklahoma. They were married for 54 years until his death in 1994.

Her parents, adoptive father, Jesse, husband, son, Jerry Davis, daughter, Jesse Ray Davis, brother, Matt Reeves, and sister, Arvzine Ringold preceded Mamie in death.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Vicki Davis of Tryon, Edwin Davis of Tryon and Linda Davis of Shawnee; daughter and son-in-law, Leanna and J.L. Morgan of Prague; brother, Paul Coleman of Albany, GA; sister-in-law, Miss Sallie Matlock of Mena, AK; sister, Lorene Bibs of Orlando, FL; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; other family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 21, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Interment followed at Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
