A private family ceremony will be held for Bob G. Patterson. Mr. Patterson was born Sept 12, 1935 in Checotah to Oscar Patterson and Florence Hadley Paterson and died March 29 at this home at Weleetka at the age 70.
He was raised in the Checotah area and attended school there. As a young mane he entered the United States Army and was very honored to have served his country. Following his discharge he lived in California for several years. He later lived in Nashville, TN. Before relocating to Tulsa where he worked for the City of Tulsa department of public transportation. He later began a career in law enforcement that became a lifelong passion. He served on the Glenpool police department and held various security positions. Most recently he was employed by O’Reillys Auto Parts in Henryetta.
Mr. Patterson loved his involvement in law enforcement, talking about the past and little dogs, especially Yoda and Little Bit. He had a long time affiliation to the Salvation Army.
Preceding him in death was sisters Jewell who was his twin and Pauline.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Drum of Warner; a son Robert Patterson, Checotah; a brother, Juney Patterson, Midwest City; three grandsons; a great granddaughter; several they relatives and friends, which includes a special friend: Sharla Patterson of Euless, TX.
