Services were held for Melvin B Ott, Fri., Dec 14 at 2p.m. at the Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Thompson officiating. Ott died Dec 12 at Bearden at the age of 56.
He was born Jan. 25, 1934, at Bearden. He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended school in Bearden. He married Miss Delores F. Anderson Oct. 10, 1952 in Okmulgee and they have lived in the Bearden community since that time. He was employed in the oil fields ad a pumper and welder and was with Recovery Resources for over 24 years.
He is survived by his wife Delores F. Ott, of the home in Bearden; his mother, Mrs. Kinis Bankston, Okemah; three daughters, Shirley Ott, Tulsa, Renee Lewis and Donna Klutts, both of Bearden; one son, Michael Ott, of the home; three grandchildren, Angie and Daniel Baston, Tulsa, and Ashley Klutts, Bearden, and a sister Carolyn Morphis, Okemah. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Ott in 1962, and a brother, Arvin Lee, in 1970.
Pallbearers were Pat Curry, Lloyd Parsons, James Wisnant, Tommy Parker, Leon Collins and Roman Lively.
Interment was in the Bearden Cemetery under the direction of Webb’s Funeral Service.
