Jerry and Billye enjoyed together a lifelong joy of fishing, boating, square dancing, trips to Branson and Silver Dollar City, Thunder basketball, OU football, softball and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jerry also loved cars and airplanes. He worked for Rockwell, McDonald Douglas/Boeing for many years. After retirement, he droved cars for Enterprise, enabling him to experience driving many of the cars he loved. He was a friend to all, loved by so many, and had the brightest smile for all until it gave out.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Billye Zimmer of Enid; his son Richard Zimmer of Edmond, OK; daughter, Barbara and her husband, Mike OQuin of Enid; his brother James Zimmer of Tulsa; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Gary and wife Pat Jolley; sister-in-law Mary Dudley, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Randall Zimmer and granddaughter Allison Zimmer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Commons, who provided the best of care and love, or Hospice Circle of Love; both located in Enid, Oklahoma.
