Shayne Edward Young

March 31, 1962 ~ April 25, 2008

Shayne Edward Young was born on March 31, 1962 to Bob Edward and Melrose (Anderson) Young in Chickasha, OK. He passed away on April 25, 2008 in Geary, OK at the age of 46.

Shayne graduated from Chickasha High School in 1980.

He was united in marriage to Lisa Wheeler in February of 1986. They lived in many states and established their home in Wyoming. Shayne was nearest to God and most at peace in the mountains of Wyoming. Shayne carried on the Young family trade of the tile setting industry. He and his family moved to Oklahoma where he enjoyed his daily activities of cattle ranching. He endured many challenges in his life, including leukemia and neuropathy. We would like Shayne to be remembered as a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend to many.

Survivors Include: his wife Lisa and, two children, Shayla and Hayden of Hinton, OK; his mother Melrose Young and step-father Nate Young of Geary, OK; brother, Zane Edward Young and step-brother Dewayne Edward Young, step-sister, Cheryl Kidd, uncle, David Young and wife Dorothy, aunt, Inell Gander and husband Gene, a dear cousin Barry Young, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward (Bob) Young, brother, Wayne Edward Young, grandparents Emmett and Ruth Young, grandmother Zita Wilson, Uncle Lucky Young, and Uncle Don Young.

Memorial services were held at the United Methodist Church, Tuesday, 10:00 am, April 29, 2008, Geary, OK. Kevin Akins and Rev. Karen Slater officiated.

Services were under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Geary, OK, condolences may be sent to turnerfuneralhomes@gmail.co
