Lynn Thomas Young, Sr.

May 8, 1937 ~ October 10, 2023

Lynn Thomas Young, Sr., age 86, went to be with the good Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Yukon, OK. He was born May 8, 1937 to Thomas and Allie (Sadler) Young in Oklahoma City, OK.

He was a proud Veteran and loved his country. After serving several years in the military, he worked in the oil field until he retired. He was also a devoted deacon at Springdale Baptist Church. Lynn and his wife, Nancy, enjoyed traveling in their RV across the US attending gospel concerts and meeting numerous friends along the way.

Lynn’s greatest achievement in life was being a father and grandpa, and was the best friend anyone could ask for. He had a heart of gold, would give his last dollar and was always just a phone call away.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Allie Young; his beautiful wife, Nancy, of 66 years; his 2 sons, Tom Young and Terry Young; and his son-in-law, Blair Coffey.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Nancy Charlene Young; grandkids, Tobie Coffey, Cindy and Matt Swanson, Angelica and Craig Ritchie, and LT and Eryn Young; great-grandkids, Harlee and Trey Moore, Shelby and Sydney Coffey, Kilie, Linkoln and Neeley Swanson, and Gwyneth and Collin Ritchie; and great-great grandkids Pay, Brin and Tripp.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, October 16 at Mercer Adams Chapel.
