Earl Wayne Young, also known as papa, passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday May 27th, 2025. He was 75 years old.
Earl was born October 12, 1949, at Bryne memorial hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma to Earl Young and Betty Bridges. Earl attended and graduated from Foyil Public Schools in 1967. After graduating Earl enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War after being honorably discharged, Earl enlisted into the US Navy where he was also honorably discharged. After coming home from serving his country Earl went to work for Allegheny Ludlum where he worked for 14 years. In 1998 Earl went to work for Mid-Continent Concrete where he retired from in 2010.
After retirement Earl enjoyed what he used to like to call his little slice of heaven at his family home. He enjoyed watching wildlife, walking around his pond and tinkering with things in the shop. Earl Enjoyed NASCAR and Stock car racing. He also was a member of the local Claremore DAV and enjoyed the company of fellow disabled veterans. When Earl wasn’t enjoying his little slice of heaven, at DAV meetings or into some kind of mischief that could only mean he was at one other place the Casino playing the infamous Mr. Money Bags slot machine. Earl was loved by his grandchildren and great grandchildren who will deeply miss his stories and his onery sense of humor.
Earl is proceeded in death by his wife Bonnie. Father Earl, Stepmother Aurelia, Mother Betty, Sisters Karen and Marylin.He is survived by his sister Elaine, Husband Rick. Daughter Donna, Granddaughter Lacey, Husband Matt, Grandson David, Wife Cassie, and Granddaughter Darma.Great Granddaughters Grace and Karsynn.
