Doris Lerene "Lee" (Ingram) Young
1936 ~ April 17, 2018

Doris Lerene "Lee" Young, age 81 and former resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the OU Medical Center, Edmond, Oklahoma.

Lee was born in 1936 in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Ralph K. Ingram and Eleanor (Blakely) Ingram. When she was just a child, she and her family moved to Joplin, Missouri, and they later moved to Bartlesville.
Lee was a graduate of College High School, Bartlesville. After completion of high school, she received her Associates Degree from Tulsa Jr. College. For a time, Lee worked as a flight attendant. She also was employed in administrative and secretarial positions at several locations, including Idaho Falls, Georgia and Oklahoma. She had made her home in Edmond for the last two years of her life.

Lee was an LDS (Latter Day Saints) Church member. She was also a member of Desk & Derrick Club, as well as various church organizations. She loved arts and crafts, quilting and her cats. At a young age, she was a member of the Phillips Splash Club. She also co-founded the first race walking club in Oklahoma City.

She is survived by her three sons, Kelley Cornelius of Oklahoma City, Marty Cornelius and his wife, Lorri, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Paige Young and his wife, Brooke, of Golden, Colorado; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Casey Cornelius in 1977; and one brother and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 23, at 11:00 AM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Mick Snider will be the officiant. There will be an informal gathering 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
