Alan Ray Young, born on May 21, 1952, in Illinois, Missouri, passed away on February 17, 2026, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. He had a long and dedicated career, during which he worked in management for many years before retiring from Sygma as a receiving clerk.
Alan was known for his simple pleasures; he had a love for watching the Price is Right and, above all, cherished the time spent with his family. His warmth and dedication to his loved ones were evident in all aspects of his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Erica Dooley and her husband Clint, of Locust Grove, OK. Alan was a proud grandfather to Samantha Ball, Robert Dooley, and Shawn Dooley, and he greatly enjoyed the joy of being a great-grandfather to Blaike Ball, Brooks Ball, Brylynn Ball, and Brighton Ball.
Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ina (Harllow) Young, his only son, Jeff Young, and his great grandson, Blaine Ball.
Alan Ray Young will be remembered for his love of family and his commitment to his work throughout his life.
