William "Bill" Yost

William "Bill" Yost
November 27, 1947 ~ April 3, 2017 (age 69)

Retired architect and Norman resident William "Bill" Yost died Monday, April 3, of complications from heart disease and pneumonia. He was 69.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rosemary Melinda; sister Barbara Yost; daughters Devon Smith (Matt), Lauren Pumphrey (Cliff), Chelsea Chadwick (Brandon) and Jordan Yost; and six grandchildren. Another grandchild is due early in May.

Bill grew up in the Midwest. After earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, He served in the U.S. Army, a stint that brought him to Ft. Sill. He settled in Lawton, where he met wife Lindy.

A Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma paved the way for his position as Vice President of the Dallas-based architectural firm Rees Associates, Inc. His spare time was spent enjoying his family and working in his yard. For several years Bill volunteered as a Master Gardener.

Immediate family will welcome guests 2 to 4 pm Friday April 7 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St., Norman. Viewing will continue until 8 pm.
