Debra Ann (Karr) Yocham

Debra Ann (Karr) Yocham
June 8, 1953 ~ September 1, 2017

Debra Ann Yocham, beloved wife, momma, GiGi, daughter, sister and dear friend to many, went home to her Heavenly Father on Friday. The 64 year old Wann resident died unexpectedly in Tulsa and leaves behind salty tears but full hearts.

Debra - or Debbie as she was known - was born the daughter of Gerald Eugene and Wanda Mae (Lemmon) Karr on June 8, 1953, in Waco, Texas. Her father worked for Phillips Petroleum Company and the family moved on various assignments including Grants, NM, before settling in Bartlesville when she was in the 6th grade. Debbie graduated in 1971 from Sooner High where she met the love of her life George Yocham. They became inseparable and were married on June 14, 1975, then attended Southwestern Univ. together. They made their home in Bartlesville where she worked for Phillips in the mail room and later at Applied Automation as a secretary. She stayed at home while their kids were too young for school but once they were settled Debbie joined George in his business. This loving, hardworking, God-fearing team has worked together for the past 30 years to place a hat on your head, a rope in your hand or a roping dummy in your yard while traveling around the country with their business, Fast Lane Rodeo. They were a one-of-a-kind duo and where you saw Debbie, you saw George right by her side. In 1989, they moved to Wann to pursue their love for rodeo and a place to call their own.

Debbie had many passions in life. She played racquetball and softball into her forties on competitive teams. She showered her children and grandchildren with unconditional love and support over the years. Debbie was dearly loved by those whom she surrounded herself with and brought a smile to everyone's face who had the opportunity to know her. A woman of her word, a heart so pure and admirably kind. Her love for people could only be matched by the special bond she enjoyed with George - they did everything. But most of all she loved the Lord and her church family.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband George of the home; two children Jessica Ann Buchanan of Oklahoma City, and Matthew Aaron Alan Yocham of Wann; her mother Wanda Mae Karr of Bartlesville; two brothers, Jerry Karr and Bonnie, and Bob Karr and Roni, all of Bartlesville; four grandchildren Liam Buchanan, Teaghen Yocham, Gavin Buchanan and Chisholm Yocham. She is preceded in death by her father.

Debbie's family will receive friends at the home of Rick and Rhonda Yocham (Yocham's Custom Leather) on Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks friends to make a generous donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, www.donate.lls.org

A celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, at City Church, 4222 Rice Creek Road in Bartlesville. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Debbie's family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com
