Jessie Geraldine Wright, 85, of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away on September 22, 2025. She was born October 17, 1939, in Stroud to Leo and Wilda Alley and was a lifelong member of the community.
A 1957 graduate of Stroud High School, Jessie built her life around family, faith, and the simple joys she treasured. On December 29, 1968, she married Clifford Wright, with whom she shared more than five decades of love and partnership. Jessie worked 31 years for the City of Stroud.
Jessie was happiest outdoors—working in her yard, tending flowers, or simply “running around” and keeping busy. She enjoyed the excitement of horse races. Jessie also cherished the friendships she found in her Sunday school class and helping with funeral meals. Known for her reserved nature, she had a quiet strength and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by Clifford, her family, friends, and all who loved her.
