Theodore Edward "Ted" Wood

Theodore Edward "Ted" Wood
November 2, 1938 ~ September 11, 2018 (age 79)

Theodore Edward (Ted) Wood was born on November 2, 1938 in Choctaw to Leighton William and Jane Ellen (Newcomer) Wood. He passed away on September 11, 2018 in Oklahoma City with his family by his side. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired after a 20 year career. He served on various warships and several overseas tours which included Vietnam.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Wood and grandson, Theodore Wood; survivors include his wife Nellie Belle Rosaline (Jones) of the home; daughters Amiya Andrade and Katrina Hawkins; (6) grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and lifelong friends.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at Noon on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Chandler Friends Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
