James Artie "Stick" Wood, III
August 29, 1955 ~ January 10, 2023

Jim Wood, 67 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Woodward. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

James Artie "Stick" Wood, III was born on August 29, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; he was the son of James Artie Wood, Jr. and Norma Lee (Tate) Bird. Stick spent his early years in Choctaw, his Junior year of high school he moved to Woodward, and he graduated from Woodward High School. Stick worked for OG&E for 14 years. He was united in marriage to Georgia Ann Fuller on March 22, 2002 in Haskell, Texas, they made their home in Woodward. Stick spent most of his working career driving a truck in the oil and gas industry.

He enjoyed riding Harley's, fishing, woodworking, and watching old westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Stick loved his family and spent as much time with them as possible.

Stick is survived by his wife Georgia of the home; daughters, Jennifer Eagan and husband Blaine of Arapaho; Kellye Hutson and husband Shane of Woodward; Heather Black and husband Chris of Protection, Kansas; son T.J. Wood and wife Angie of Jal, New Mexico; one sister, Kathye Wood of Woodward; grandchildren, Avonlea, Colton, Bailey, Brandon, Melissa, Abby, Jase, Hayden, Rogue, and Kitana; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Serenity, Kason, Arianna, Landon, and Anthony; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by mother, and father, grandparents; and his step-father.
