Rebecca Anne Wolfe was born in Tahlequah, OK to the late Daisey Wolfe and Ruth Johnson on July 20, 1942. Becky passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her brothers James and William Wolfe and sisters Dixie Cornsilk and Nelda Littlejohn. Survivors include son, Craig Woosley, daughter Terri Farish, granddaughter Ashley Farish, niece Khristi Cornsilk, sister Vicky Garber and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Becky joined the U.S. Army in 1961 and was stationed at posts coast to coast and in France. Honorably discharged in 1964, she eventually moved back to Tahlequah and earned a master’s degree at Northeastern State University.

She loved supporting veterans during her 30 year career with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in OK, DC, AL, MO, and TX before retiring and moving back to Tahlequah.

Becky, a Cherokee Nation tribal citizen, served terms as the president of the Cherokee County Veterans Council as well as the commander of the American Legion Posts 364 and 50. She also volunteered for various organizations such as CASA of Cherokee County and Soroptimist International of Tahlequah in support of her community.

Becky inspired so many people throughout her life and was admired and loved by all who were lucky enough to have known her. She will be greatly missed.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life Service Sunday, March 1, 2026,1:00pm, at American Legion Post 50,118 N Brookside Ave., Tahlequah, OK 74464.

In celebration, we’ll share a potluck feast featuring Fried Chicken and warmly welcome your favorite side dishes or desserts.
