Clara Jane (Ashby) Wisley
December 9, 1912 ~ July 17, 2007

Clara Jane Wisley of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday, July 17, 2007, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 95 years.

Clara Jane Wisley was born on December 9, 1912, in Sentinal, Oklahoma, to Warren and Jessie (Bass) Ashby. She grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. She married John Wisley and they lived most of their adult life in El Dorado, Kansas, where they engaged in farming. She loved gardening, ceramics and excelled in the kitchen as a cook. She also enjoyed dancing.

She is survived by a sister, Ettalee Zelden of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Janis Gardner; a sister, Edith Madison; and two brothers, Earl and Garland Ashby.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 1st in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado, Kansas.

A memorial had been established with Image Hospice in Blackwell in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
