Charles Russell Wingfield

Charles Russell Wingfield
July 21, 1957 ~ September 15, 2025

Vinita-
Charles Russell Wingfield, also known to many as Chuck, born on July 21, 1957, in Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious humor, and unwavering support for those around him.

Throughout his life, Charles embodied a spirit of kindness and generosity, always ready with a joke or clever prank to lift the hearts of others. Despite his quiet and reserved nature, he was a devoted listener and friend, often providing support when it was needed most. His demeanor was characterized by an easygoing and cheerful disposition, making it rare for anyone to see him angry. Truly one of a kind, he touched the lives of many with his big heart and happy-go-lucky attitude.

Charles served honorably in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his character and values. He built a career as a diesel mechanic, dedicating many years to mastering his craft before retiring. His commitment to family was paramount; he cherished every moment spent at his sons' sporting events, celebrating their achievements and encouraging their passions.

Charles had an eclectic set of interests that included going to auctions, attending ice hockey games, and most recently completing a small engine repair class. He found joy in the thrill of the casino, and he had a profound love for cooking. His dogs, Chester and Roxie, were also beloved companions, bringing additional warmth and joy to his home.

Charles Russell Wingfield's legacy of kindness, humor, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Wingfield, of Zumbrota, Minnesota; sons, Sean Wingfield and longtime girlfriend Carol Tesmer, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Chris Wingfield of Rochester, Minnesota; brothers, James Wingfield of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Jeff Wingfield of Vinita, Oklahoma; sister, Gayle Eastright of Langley, Oklahoma; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty (Smith) Wingfield; his sister, Susie Wingfield; brother, Patrick Wingfield; niece, Gaby; father-in-law, Larry Olson; and brother-in-law, Scott O'Reilly.

Memorial services will be held by his family at a later time. To leave a personal message, please visit his guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service of Pryor.
