Norman Norwood Wimpee, Jr.
January 10, 1940 ~ October 24, 2021

Norman Norwood Wimpee, Jr., 81, of Marietta, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Mercy Health Love County, Marietta. He was born on January 10, 1940 in St. Louis, the son of Norman Norwood and Eldon Dorothy O'Daniel Wimpee.

Norman grew up and resided in Phoenix until 1983 when he moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico, then in 1984 moved back to Phoenix. On April 6, 1986 in Safford, Arizona, he married the love of his life Linda S. Hilton Witt. They resided in Arizona until 2004 when they moved to Marietta, her hometown. Norman was a self-employed painter and drywaller. He loved Dobermans and German shepherds, reading the Bible, playing guitar, singing, drawing deer screens, and oil painting pictures of wildlife and mountains. Norman was also an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Edlon Wimpee; sisters, Carol Gressman, Sharon Lockstead, Marsha Miller and Carolyn Arms; and brother, Alan Holt.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Wimpee; daughters, Linda, Stephanie and Valerie; step-children, Melinda Witt and Bobby Witt; brothers, William Wimpee and wife Connie, Jesse Wimpee and wife Trish, Mark Wimpee and wife Diane, and Thomas Wimpee and wife Ester; sisters, Diane Thompson and Celeste Harper and husband Dave; and sister-in-law, Michelle Holt.
