Edgar Lawrence Williams

Edgar Lawrence Williams
May 4, 1952 ~ March 26, 2020 (age 67)

Edgar Lawrence Williams was a son of Loring Raymond Williams & Gladys May Grigsby Williams, one of three siblings, and husband to LaVelle for 29 wonderful years, and a father to Christopher Williams.

Edgar was born in Tarrant County, Ft. Worth, Texas at the Penn Ave Hospital on Ramey Street. In his youth, he went to Morningside Elementary School and graduated from IM Terrell High School in 1970. While working and going to Tarrant County Junior College at the same time, he went and received an Associate’s Degree in Arts in the spring of 72’ and immediately after that, pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Texas Arlington and graduated in May of 75’.

At that point, he decided to go into groceries instead of his degree in criminal justice. In the 80’s, he was a store manager at Griders in Oklahoma City. Even after his 18 years with Frito Lay and retirement; he still wanted to work a part time job at AMB parking lot at Will Rogers Airport.

Edgar was a Christian that believed in the philosophy of "do unto others as you would want them to do unto you."

Edgar had favor with countless amount of people during his time here with us. When he was working at Frito Lay, he had an ample amount of recognitions because he understood the nature of the business: to treat his customers the way he would want to be treated. He wasn’t shy about working... or working hard. He was always on time, a very responsible person, and loved to laugh and loved watching sports. He was mainly a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners, the Oklahoma City Thunders, but regardless of whatever sport, he was a fan. He wasn’t really much into music. He was a dog lover though... and they loved him too. In his household, he had a tradition of taking communion while reading over Matthew 26:26-28, on a weekly basis, which still remains a family tradition.

Even though we lost a good person last week; the personality he portrayed could potentially be in all of us.
