Memorial Service for Hence Allen Whitiker, 55, of Enid will be Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Barry Robinson will officiate. Cremation was under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born Feb. 17, 1960, in Chicago to Frank and Everie Whitiker and died Thursday, May 21, 2015, in Enid.
He grew up in Chicago and graduated from high school. He moved to Enid, where he worked for Punch-Loc for 24 years.
On June 2, 2005, he married Catherine Smalling in Chicago, although they had 22 blessed years together. He was head of the Open Ends department until he was medically unable to do so in 2014. He attended Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. He always enjoyed watching his movies, scratchers and laughing with the people he knew and loved.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine, of the home; stepson, Edward Smalling, of Enid; daughter-in-law, Angela Coursey, of Enid; three stepgrandchildren, Anthony and Justin Jones and Erik Smalling. He also leaves behind his mother, Everie Butler, of Chicago; three sisters, Venus Whitiker, Edith Whitiker, and Frances Harper (Rose), all of Chicago; five brothers, Carnell Whitiker, of Bruce, Mississippi, John Whitiker, of Davenport, Iowa, and Frank Whitiker, Spencer Whitiker and Earl Whitiker, all of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Whitiker, and brother, Kirk Whitiker.
